The importance of being patient and systematic
On a colleague's transfer
He’s waited for this day for ages,
And this was long and slow as hell.
But he was patient and courageous
And in the end, this ends up well.
For patience is a mighty power.
When all the rest is said and done,
It helps - to climb the Eiffel Tower
Or run an office in Sudan.
To some, he may be too insistent,
In certain places causing pain.
But that’s the way to run a system,
Which otherwise may well “complain”.
To catch a fish or clean an attic,
To build a house or win a game,
One must be pretty systematic,
If he or she should reach their aim.
And now, he starts a brand new chapter,
Where flow together all three Niles.
Whatever else he may be up to,
We hope he’s nice to crocodiles.
And patient with the poor creatures,
Promoting humbly peace and love.
That’s what our founding fathers teach us.
Good luck with that! And - Inch ‘Allah!
